James Freeman Studio
I work alone and perform every step of the process myself, including making all of my own glazes. All of my pieces are individually crafted. They are either one-of-a-kind or made in very limited runs. I do not mass produce pottery using such techniques as slip casting, jiggering, or drape molding of slabs, nor do I crank out large batches of cookie cutter “production pottery”. I tend to avoid the use of measuring devices and jigs, so there are subtle differences even amongst members of a small batch. Each piece is therefore a unique expression.
